Stories of Transformation

These are real stories from people whose lives have been profoundly changed by this work.
And every time I listen to them — whether I’ve meditated that day or not, whether I’m driving to work or just sitting in silence — something always moves within me.
There was a time when these stories made me cry. Sometimes I’d laugh. But more than anything, I would feel them — deeply, fully, to the core. And honestly, even now, when my own transformations are not as earth-shaking as they used to be, each story still touches me in a unique way.
I don’t choose them intentionally. I let YouTube pick one randomly for me. And today, the story was about a woman who first healed from breast cancer — but that wasn’t even the most powerful part.
She shared how she had serious thyroid problems, which, she realized, were rooted in deep childhood trauma. She had been sexually abused by her own father. As a child, she learned that to survive, she had to be invisible. She had to stay quiet. And she carried that silence into adulthood. Over time, her thyroid stopped working and had to be removed.
But through the practice of meditation — day by day — she began to feel better. One day, she ran out of her thyroid medication, and because she was feeling so well, she decided to stop taking it altogether. She expected something to happen — maybe a decline, a warning sign — but nothing came. She continued to feel good.
When she went to the doctor, he was alarmed:
“What do you mean you’ve been off your meds? You must feel terrible!”
But she didn’t. She felt fine.
She did some lab work. And not only were her results good — they were excellent. Since then, she no longer takes any medication.
She reflected deeply on what had truly caused her illness. Of course, the childhood trauma played a role. But more importantly, she realized it was the suppression of her truth.
She read something Dr. Joe once said — that we must live our truth and speak our truth. She began practicing that in meditation first, and then, slowly, in her everyday life.
It wasn’t one specific meditation focused on the thyroid that healed her. It was the transformation of her entire being — the way she felt, the way she behaved, the way she lived.
I remember another man sharing his story at an event — his thyroid had literally regrown. The doctor doing the ultrasound dropped everything and ran out of the room in shock. He’d never seen anything like it.
There are so many stories that, if you only read them in a book, you might think:
“Come on… this sounds too far-fetched.”
Even I used to think that — if only Dr. Joe were saying these things, I might’ve doubted too.
But when you hear these people speak, you feel their truth.
No Hollywood actor could deliver such raw, authentic emotion.
Now, I believe.
Of course, this path isn’t for everyone. Some people may not be ready — and that’s okay. Everyone has their own journey, and every journey is valid. That’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve learned through this work: there’s no “right” or “wrong” way. What matters most is how we live with ourselves — every single day.
It’s not even about how we relate to others — our family, friends, colleagues.
It starts with us.
If we are at peace with who we are, we can be at peace with life.
And even if it feels like everything around you is a mess, the moment you start changing yourself, your surroundings will begin to shift too.
That’s not a theory. That’s a fact I’ve lived.
I used to wonder: How is it possible that people heal from the most serious diseases through this work… but I still can’t quit something as simple as cigarettes or alcohol?
But today, after listening to that woman’s story, something clicked.
Maybe it’s actually easier to heal the body — because the problem is visible. You get a diagnosis. You know what’s wrong. You can visualize healing. You can focus on one specific part.
But with emotional wounds, it’s different.
They’re invisible.
Sometimes they’re so close, so familiar, that you can’t even see them.
This work — it never really ends.
And that’s the beauty of it.
